History Of The Department

The Department of History at Lady Doak College was established first as an Under Graduate Department in 1957 and further expanded as a Post Graduate Department in the year 2015. The Department, which has an active MoU with the DHAN Foundation, SOCO Trust, People's Watch, Madurai Gandhi Museum, Government Museum of Gandhi Museum Madurai and Galaxy IAS Academy is able to receive the necessary assistance from them for the field visits (On Site Study) which is beneficial for the students and also organizes many field visits and training programme.
